| If you have tried deviled eggs and decided you can take 'em or leave 'em, then try 'em one more time. These two recipes will make you think the devil must have had a hand in making them. The smoked oysters are. . .well. . .you have to try 'em to believe it! I don't like smoked oysters. . .until I tried these! | |
| ZESTY DEVILED EGGS 6 hard-cooked eggs |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
| 2 tablespoons mayonaise/Miracle Whip | 1/8 teaspoon pepper |
| 2 teaspoons lemon juice | Paprika |
| 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce | 6 green pimento-stuffed olives |
| 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard | |
| 1 Slice eggs in half, lengthwise and carefully remove yolks. 2 Mash yolks. Add mayonaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire, dry mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well. 3 Stuff egg halves with yolk mixture. 4 Garnish with paprika and green olives. | |
| DEVILED EGGS WITH SMOKED OYSTERS | |
| 10 hard-cooked eggs | 1/8 teaspoon pepper |
| 3 tablespoons mayonaise/Miracle Whip | 1 can (3.6 oz.) smoked oysters |
| 1 teaspoon prepared mustard | Paprika |
| 2 teaspoons salt | 10 green pimento-stuffed olives |
| 2 teaspoons sweet pickle juice | |
| 1 Slice eggs in half, lengthwise and carefully remove yolks. 2 Mash yolks. Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pickle juice, and pepper. Mix well. 3 Place a smoked oyster in each egg white cup. 4 Either spoon or use a decorating bag with tip No. 4B and pipe the yolk mixture around the oyster. 5 Garnish with paprika and green olives
