Eldridge French Toast | |
| This French Toast is the best you ever tasted. You can use the secret ingredient when making scrambled eggs, too! | |
| 3 large eggs, beaten | 6 slices of French Bread/Texas Toast |
| 2 tablespoons milk | Butter/margerine |
| ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon | Confectionary Sugar |
| 2-3 tablespoons Triple Sec/Grand Marnier | Vermont Maple Syrup |
| Dash of salt | Applesauce (optional) |
| 1 In a shallow bowl, combine beaten eggs and milk. 2 When thoroughly combined, add the cinnamon, salt, and Triple Sec or Grand Marnier. 3 Preheat griddle or frying pan. Lighly grease pan with butter/margerine. 4 Dip slice of bread into mixture, ensuring to coat both sides. You can also use regular bread; however the thicker slices are more enjoyable. 5 Cook the dipped slices for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until a nice golden brown and fluffy. 6 Serve immediately. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. These are fantastic served with New England (Vermont) maple syrup and/or warm applesauce. | |
